Re: New Head of Development and Alumni Relations Office (DARO)
I am pleased to announce that Mr Dobbin Tan of Xavier School Class of 1981 has accepted my invitation for him to head the Development and Alumni Relations Office on a part-time basis.
The DARO takes responsibility for systematically keeping in touch with alumni and benefactors, and implementing fundraising projects to generate support for various needs such as the proposed Senior High School building and the Grant-in-Aid scholarship program. The office also organizes the annual Exemplary Alumni Awards and the spiritual retreat for alumni.
Mr. Tan graduated from the Ateneo de Manila University in 1985 with a degree in Management Engineering. Aside from attending various professional development programs through the years, he has also earned a Master of Business Administration degree (2013) from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. In his professional career, he has held senior management positions in various companies and for ten years (2002-2012), was the Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of Information Gateway, the telecommunications firm that set up X-Mobile, the school’s mobile phone information system.
Mr. Tan’s office hours will be on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, 9:00 to 12:00. Please extend to him your usual cooperation.
Thank you very much.
