The Artworks Club of Grade 5 opened an exhibit last September 9 entitled: “Ave Maria: Celebrating a Mother’s Love” to honor Mama Mary on her birthday.
The students were inspired by the role that all mothers play in the development of each person. They realized the very important role that Mother Mary played in the incarnation of Jesus Christ to redeem us from sin and return us to the Father. Their representations depicted not only their personal relationship with their own mother, but also that of all mothers with the prime focus on child rearing.
The exhibit also highlights the origin of the Marian devotion and allows visitors to write prayers and wishes that will be posted on the birthday board. Viewing times are during recess and lunch, and will run until September 13, 2013.
