As part of its Staff Development Program, Assumption Antipolo visits select schools in Metro Manila. In the morning of September 26, a group of around twenty personnel from Assumption Antipolo came to Xavier School led by Mrs. Rona Jamero-Española and Sr. Melania Maria, R.A. The group was composed of heads and members of the different departments such as Guidance, Admissions, Student Records, Secretariat for Instructional Materials, Bookstore, Physical Plant, and Information Technology.
After a prayer and brief welcoming remarks by the Personnel Officer of Xavier School, the group was given an overview of the history, vision and mission of the school through audiovisual presentations. It was then taken on a tour of the school’s facilities beginning with the school archives, facilitated by Mr. Jing Bautista of the Archives and Mrs. Jopin Galvez of the Ignite Office. The group was also shown some pictures of the facilities and activites in Xavier School Nuvali during merienda.
Afterwards, articulation with their counterparts in Xavier took place in different venues, facilitated by the following: Mrs. Joey Magpily, Mrs. Bhea Tongol and Ms. Tess Elizalde for the Secretariat, Mr. Mark Esteron and Mr. Mark Que for Guidance, Mrs. Ditas Dairo and Mrs. Emma Almirañez for Admissions and Student Records, Mr. Holden Angeles for Physical Plant, Ms. Hope Ocampo for Bookstore, and Mr. John Ang and Mr. Vic Lambus, Jr. for IT. The articulation was apparently fruitful since most of the groups needed more time.
Coming together as a plenary again, the group was given an overview of the Staff Development Program of Xavier by Mrs. Je Ching of Ignite Office. This was followed by a closing remarks given by Fr. Xavier Olin, S.J., Campus Minister. On behalf of Assumption Antipolo, Sr. Melania Maria, R.A. gave some words of thanks to the host and presented their token of appreciation: pastries freshly baked from the school’s bakeshop. As usual, the visit ended with a group picture-taking at the Central Administration lobby.
