11 November 2013
Dear Members of the Xavier Community,
As announced earlier, Xavier School has launched “Xavier Sulong Muli!” to assist those adversely affected by Typhoon Yolanda. We are already accepting financial contributions, and now we are ready to accept donations in kind as well.
In order to address the urgent needs of the victims, we would like to request that you donate the goods listed below. Kindly place the goods in an ECO-BAG to avoid the need for sorting so that they may be immediately distributed to the victims. You are encouraged to donate as many relief bags as possible. Each relief bag should contain the following items:
8 cans Canned Goods
12 packs Instant Noodles
2 Liters Bottled Water
2 Kilos Rice
Because the work of rebuilding and rehabilitation is long-term, we will also accept goods that will be useful for the victims such as clothes in good condition, towels, beddings, emergency lights, etc.
For this project, we are partnering with Caritas Manila, the social action arm of the Archdiocese of Manila, to help us specially in the transport of goods to Tacloban and other affected areas.
We will be accepting donations from November 12 to 20, 2013 only. Drop off gates are:
Gates 4, 6, 9 and 14 from 6:00 am to 5:00pm on school days.
Gate 1 from 8:00am to 8:00pm on Saturday and Sunday.
For cash and check donations, please kindly enclose in an envelope and include both donor and amount details. Checks must be made payable to Xavier School, Inc.
We hope for your most generous support in this endeavor.
Fr. Aristotle C. Dy, SJ
