Parangal: A Tribute to Mother Nature

By Ms. Carmela Angeles, GS Art Teacher

The Philippine Art Educators Association in cooperation with the GSIS museum recently opened an exhibit entitled “Parangal: A Tribute to Mother Nature.” It showcases beautiful interpretations of God’s bounty done by members and friends of the group. This is their way of showing appreciation for what God has blessed us with.

Featured in the exhibit are the Flower Series in acrylic by Carmela Angeles, Two Birds paintings in watercolor by Paulo Fuentes (son of Mr. Lorenzo Fuentes), a portrait in charcoal and still life in oil by Jon Valenzuela and another portrait in mixed media by Mrs. Rosel Valenzuela.

The exhibit will run until December 30, 2013 and is located at the GSIS Museum in Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City.

Congratulations to our Xavier artists: Art teachers Carmela Angeles and Jonah Mari Valenzuela and a former Xavier students Paolo Fuentes for participating in a PAEA Art exhibit ‘Parangal’ at the G.S.I.S. Museum at Roxas Blvd.
