RE:      NCR PALARO GAMES in XAVIER SCHOOL

The National Capital Region (NCR) Palaro is the tournament where representatives from the different cities of NCR compete for the right to represent NCR in the Palarong Pambansa (National Games), an annual multi-sporting event involving student-athletes from seventeen (17) regions of the country organized and governed by the Department of Education (DepEd).

It is a huge endeavor to hold the NCR Palaro games as the district has sixteen (16) divisions with possibly twice as many teams participating in events where boys and girls are represented. This year, San Juan is the host city of the NCR Palaro and Xavier School has been invited to help host the events. In this regard, please be informed that there will be select NCR Palaro games to be held in Xavier School from January 20, Monday, to January 25, Saturday, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Volleyball for the high school level (boys and girls) will be held at the high school gym, and elementary basketball will be held at the cement courts of the Sports Center. These areas will be secured so that there will be no disruption to regular classes at Xavier.

The DepEd in San Juan has called off classes on Monday, January 20, for all public and private basic education schools in the city.

Please expect traffic to be heavier than usual as participants from other schools will be dropped and fetched throughout the day on the dates mentioned.
