To meet the demands of the growing population of Xavier School Nuvali, new teachers from top schools in the country were hired. In order for them to effectively impart to the students the Jesuit ideals, the new teachers were introduced to the founder of the Society of Jesus, St. Ignatius of Loyola, and to the school patron, St. Francis Xavier through a recollection-workshop entitled “Meeting Xavier.”
Held last May 31 on the school campus, veteran teachers Mr. Frederick Perez, Ms. Mina Bona, Mrs. Maan Domingo, Mrs. Kristelle Ortiz took the newest faculty members on a journey of discovery, taking turns to share with them who these two saints are and how their lives influence the pedagogy followed by the school.
Their journey culminated in the weekly anticipated mass held at the Oratory of St. Francis Xavier. School President Fr. Aristotle Dy, S.J. presided over the mass and blessed the new teachers in front of the students and families of Xavier School Nuvali community.
