The Grade School Learning Resource Center (LRC) and the Arts Department formally opened on 19 November 2014 a travelling art exhibit entitled “DANUM” at the GS LRC Storytelling Area. This collection of artworks was exhibited at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) last December 2013 until March 2014.
This is a project of the Philippine Art Educators Association (PAEA), in cooperation with the Cultural Center of the Philippines. The art exhibit highlights water (DANUM in Ilocano) as the very essence of life. Children’s art showcases the visual imageries of water — from the bountiful harvests, to the appreciation of its wonder and uses, and hopeful dreams for tomorrow.
Participating schools include Xavier School, La Salle, Claret, UST, St. Paul College, Autism Society of the Philippines, etc. Art works of our Grades 3 and 5 students are included in the exhibit.
