Re:      New Administrators for Senior High School

I am pleased to announce the following appointments in light of the Senior High School structure that will be effective School Year 2015 – 2016.

Mrs. Rovelita N. Bermejo, current High School Math Department Chairperson, will be the Senior High School-Standard Program (SHS-SP) Coordinator.

As SHS-SP Coordinator, Mrs. Bermejo will be in charge of overseeing the implementation of the SHS Curriculum and supervising the teachers in the SHS-Standard Program.

Mr. Kenneth O. Gan, current Student Activities Coordinator, will be the new International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) Coordinator.

As IBDP Coordinator, he will liaise with the International Baccalaureate Office (IBO) and oversee the implementation of the IB Program as well as supervise the teachers involved in the IB.

Both IBDP and SHS-SP Coordinators are expected to work closely with the Academic Department Chairpersons who shall remain as subject experts when in comes to curriculum improvement and design.  Moreover, both new appointees will report directly to Mrs. Theresa Ladrido, High School Assistant Principal for Academics for Senior High School.

On behalf of the Xavier Community, I would like to thank Mrs. Bermejo and Mr. Gan for accepting their new responsibilities.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank our outgoing IBDP Coordinator, Mr. Brian Marana, for his work and leadership these past school years. He played a key role in institutionalizing the school’s international programs, not least the IBDP and the XCE, such that they have become hallmarks of Xavier education. We wish him well in his future endeavors.

Please extend your usual support and cooperation to the SHS Administrators for School Year 2015 – 2016.

Thank you very much.

Fr. Aristotle C. Dy, SJ

School President
