Father Pierre Tritz Institute – ERDA Tech participated in the SINAG: San Ignacio: Nagniningas ang Gunita event held at the Father Rafael Cortina Sports Center in Xavier School San Juan on July 29, 2015. As part of a series of events celebrating the Jesuit heritage, this exhibit showcased 17 Jesuit apostolates, among them ERDA Tech.
The school’s delegation was led by Miss Valentine de Dreuille, one of ERDA Tech’s current French volunteers. The other members of the group were Miss Chyryz Valiente, Mr. Joel Sulit, Miss Marilyn Benedicto, and Miss Jesselyn Buendia. The school’s Business Office, headed by Mrs. Marge Antonio, gave logistical support to the team.
Six students: Jhozen Bacsa, Raven Ferry (Automotive Servicing), Jonathan Laurente (Electrical Installation and Maintenance), Zandra Quisao, Critchimae Vallan (Food Trades), and Charlamagne Miranda (Machining) were also present at the fair. The food trades students sold chocolate chip cookies and brownies while the rest gave demonstrations on the various skills they have learned in class.
The exhibit-goers, which included the faculty, staff, and selected students of Xavier School, as well as Mary the Queen parishioners, were very much impressed with the performances of the ERDAnians, and the quality of the food being sold.
Father Munching de Guzman, who celebrates Mass in ERDA Tech on Wednesday mornings and gives recollections and retreats to the ERDAnians too, was also present and gave his all-out support from beginning to end. The IGNITE and Campus Ministry personnel had also been very helpful in enticing the fairgoers to visit the school’s booth and buy its products.
Moreover, Mr. Peter Marc Magsalin and Mr. Ernesto Chua, Jr., principal and assistant principal for academics respectively of FPTI – ERDA Tech, and Miss Clementine Donnefort, another ERDA Tech French volunteer, were on hand to lend moral support.
At the end of the day, the ERDA Tech group felt tired but greatly satisfied with the outcome of all their hard work.
