The unpredictable weather and the “Big One” have everybody on their toes. Disaster preparedness has never been more relevant today. The National Earthquake Simultaneous Drill, which happened yesterday, prompted a metrowide earthquake drill that required the participation of every establishment both private and public. Schools are doing their very best to keep students safe by letting them understand what to do in worst case scenarios.
Xavier School, for instance, has created what it calls the “Grab Bag,” a lightweight bag that contains first aid kits and emergency supplies for student’s use in case of emergencies.
