IBDP Visual Arts Students Go on an Educational Tour

The IBDP Visual Arts students had an educational tour last August 15, 2015 to Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Bagac, Bataan entitled “Immersing in Philippine History and Culture”.

The tour aimed to deepen and widen the students’ understanding on Philippine architectural design and apply skills learned from the basic photography workshop, which they had with Mr. Geoff Mercado prior to the trip.

The participants were divided into four groups: harana, digmaan, pista and lakbay patay, and came up with a music video, a still photo, a slideshow and a keynote presentation on their assigned theme.

All in all it was a fun and informative adventure, and everyone enjoyed their trip back in time. Hopefully, the students will be able to create designs or outputs inspired by the tour.
