Gold and Silver Finishes in Karatedo

Two Xavier School students recently garnered achievements in Karate.  Representing Xavier School, San Juan, Adam Ortiz Bondoc of Grade 9-F won the Gold Medal, and Jose Habalo of Grade 10-J won the Silver Medal in the Regional Finals of the Milo Little Olympics, NCR South, Karatedo Competition.

Adam Bondoc, and Jose Habalo, members of the Association for the Advancement of Karatedo (AAK), competed and won in the Milo Little Olympics Regionals at Sta. Cruz, Laguna last August 30, 2015. There were over 70 participating schools and, more or less, 130 participants from the National Capital Region South that competed in the tournament.

The two Xavierians competed in the High School (14-15 Years Old) Kumite (Sparring) Category. They bested their opponents performing with power, speed, and precision, which earned them a well-deserved 1 – 2 finish.
