Re: Zuloaga Hall
October 8 marks the third death anniversary of Fr. Ismael Zuloaga, S.J. He is the longest-serving School President (Director, 1965-1985) and he spent his twilight years at Xavier School. As a preliminary effort to honor his great contributions to Xavier School, the Board of Trustees has approved a Special Resolution to name the fourth floor of the intermediate building (the Grade 8 wing of the past few school years) as Zuloaga Hall. The floor has three big multiple-purpose rooms (the size of three classrooms each) for the use of the community.
A marker plaque (see attached picture) will be installed on the fourth-floor landing near the MPC building. It will be blessed after the usual morning Mass on Thursday, October 8, to be celebrated by Fr. Guy Guibelondo, S.J.
As one community, let us honor the memory of the Jesuit credited with formulating the school’s vision of the Xaverian: men fully alive, endowed with a passion for justice and the skills for development.
Fr. Aristotle C. Dy, SJ
