On October 3, 2015, Xavier School Nuvali (XSN) celebrated its first ever Fellowship Day at the Ramon S. Ang Gymnasium.
Organized by the Parent Class Representatives and the Xavier School Parents Auxiliary-Nuvali (XSPAN 2015-2016), in coordination with XSN, the event was created to set a venue for Grade 1 and Grade 2 parents, students, families and friends to meet one another, share fun and memorable experiences together, and bring the Grade 1 and Grade 2 communities closer.
Themed âTowards the Sun; Let Our Light Shine,â attendees shone indeed, as evidenced by the many smiles and laughs shared among the participants and onlookers to the many games played and fun activities during the event.
Games such as âThe Human Bingoâ served as an icebreaker, entailing each family to go around and meet new people and become more familiar with each other. The âLongest Lineâ and the âTower Buildingâ games for both the students and parents respectively, enhanced teamwork, communication and camaraderie among the participants. To the amusement (or amazement) of everyone, there were even some showing off their hidden talents in song and dance.
Thanks to the sponsors, the event had a candy buffet, plentiful snacks and drinks, raffle prizes, and a photo booth for the attendees to bring home pictures of their fun memories of the event.
Overall, the event was a successful one. New friendships were made, families went home with smiles on their faces and some even stayed to chat a bit more with old and new found friends. This is what the XSN Fellowship day is all about: friendship. Our children will be lifelong friends throughout their decade long stay with Xavier, the parents should be so as well. âWe are all in the same ship,â as they say, this is our ship of fellows.
A resounding thank you is in order to all the parent class representatives, XSPAN team, Xavier School teachers and staff, sponsors, suppliers and attendees who made the event possible. Luceat Lux!
