XScape FAQs

What is XScape?
XScape is a two-day escape room event organized by Xavier High School students. All proceeds of the event benefit the scholarship fund of the Fr. Pierre Tritz Institute: ERDA Tech, which provides free vocational education to underprivileged students.

What are escape rooms?
Escape rooms are real-life game rooms where you and your team are the protagonists of a story. You will have to solve puzzles and search for clues to progress through the story and literally escape the room.

What are your opening hours?
On both days of February 6 and 7, the first time slot is at 9:00am and the last is at 4:00pm. We recommend that you arrive 15 minutes before the hour to allow time for registration and briefing. Entrance is through Gate 14.

How long is a game session?
Players will have 45 minutes to escape the room, which is enough time to solve through the puzzles and immerse in the story. We recommend that you arrive 15 minutes before the call time so as not to rush registration and briefing.

Who can play XScape?
Anyone from 8 to 88 can play our escape rooms! There are no jump scares, very loud noises, or flashing lights in the rooms. Solving the puzzles depends on creativity and teamwork, not stock knowledge.

How many players in a team?
The maximum number of players is 6. More than 5 players compromises safety and the quality of the game. The minimum recommended number of players is 3. The price per person decreases as the number of players increases, so invite your friends!

Are the rooms safe?
The rooms are designed to simulate perilous environments while in reality remaining perfectly safe. Although none of the rooms are brightly lit, torchlights are provided.

What if I am stuck in the middle of the game?
A friendly game facilitator will be inside with you at all times to ensure your safety as well as provide as many hints. We want you to have fun and escape the room, so if you feel stuck, don’t be afraid to ask for help!

What should I bring?
Just bring yourself! Since rooms are airconditioned, you may want to bring a jacket. Please do not bring your own flashlights, lockpicks, and other tools.
