Grade 2 Student Gets Top Honors at Math Challenge in Bangkok

Shaun Jacob Tan Cua of Grade 2-G bagged the Gold medal and the Top Scorer award for garnering a perfect score in the recently concluded International Mathematics Wizard Challenge (IMWiC) last July 20 – 24, 2016 in Bangkok, Thailand.  He was part of the Philippine delegate that represented the country in this international math competition under the guidance of MATHDAP/ MTG.

Shaun was invited by Xavier School last year to join MTG and he completed the 12-session training program.  He qualified to attend the YOUNG MATHEMATICIAN IN-HOUSE INTENSIVE PROGRAM last March 2016 in Baguio City.  He performed well in the training and was chosen to represent the Philippines in international math competitions.
