21 October 2016
Dear students, faculty, staff, parents,
In celebration of the 60th anniversary of Xavier School, the Alumni Association of Xavier School (AAXS) will be presenting The Vienna Boys Choir live in Manila for a one-night only concert to be held at the PICC Plenary Hall on November 11, 2016. This will be the final stop of the choir’s 2016 Asia Tour.
As you may know, the Vienna Boys Choir is a historic church choir, dating back to the middle ages. Known for its exceedingly high vocal standard, the iconic choir has worked with musicians including Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Anton Bruckner.
This one night engagement will be made extra-special by the performance of the only Filipino member of the Vienna Boys Choir, Lance Castro So. His father, Eric So, is a Xavier alum and member of XS’92. It would be a proud moment for the Philippines and the Xavier community to watch Lance perform to a home audience for the first time.
Proceeds from this event will support the scholarship programs of Xavier School, the Fr. Pierre Tritz Institute-ERDA Tech, and the newly established supplemental health fund for Xavier retired teachers, called the “Para Kay ‘Cher” Program.
Tickets are available at the AAXS office with a special discount offered to the Xavier community. You may also purchase tickets online at www.ticketworld.com.ph. We hope you can find time to witness and enjoy this display of world class musical talent and support the worthy causes of this AAXS project.
