On Saturday, January 14, 2017, Pandacan, Manila began its two-day festivities in honor of its patron, the Holy Child Jesus, more commonly known as the Sto. Niño. This year, the Buling-Buling Dance Procession delegation from Father Pierre Tritz Institute – ERDA Tech consisted of 14 pairs of students, unlike in previous years wherein only faculty and staff, or a combination of faculty, staff, and students comprised the group.
As always, the ERDAnians, accompanied by the administrators, faculty, and staff, endeared themselves to the audience, Pandaqueños and visitors alike, as they moved and danced through the streets to the tune of the Buling-Buling music.
Upon reaching the Sto. Niño de Pandacan Church in the town proper, the procession ended, and the ERDA Tech community, tired and perspiring as they were, walked back to the school with a warm feeling in their hearts, glad that they had successfully participated again in paying tribute to the Child Jesus.
After eating a very filling meal of rice, roasted pork, pansit, lumpia, and iced tea at the Cafe Tritz (school canteen), everyone went home to enjoy a well-deserved rest.
