Congratulations to Javier Lorenzana (Grade 11), Harry Paragas (Grade 11) and Migo Enriquez (Grade 12) for winning the National Youth Business Convention (NYBC) Case Competitions (CC)!
Javier Lorenzana and his team were declared Champions of the NYBC CC Brand Track. Sponsored by ABS-CBN, Javi’s team created an advocacy brand and a marketing plan that espoused championing the Filipino talent. They have been invited to pitch their winning entry to ABS-CBN executives for a possible partnership and implementation of their project.
Harry Paragas and his team were named 2nd Runners-up of the NYBC CC Technopreneurship and Social Entrepreneurship Track. Sponsored by Gawad Kalinga’s Enchanted Farm, they created a position paper and a brand campaign for CalaBoo, a GK Enchanted Farm start-up that focuses on carabao milk products.
Migo Enriquez and his team bagged the 2nd Runner-up place of the NYBC CC Finance Track. Sponsored by Security Bank, Migo’s team created a way in which online banking and transactions can become more pervasive, more exciting and more secure.
Each team had to travel to the headquarters of the sponsoring companies, understand the operating environment and their businesses, and come up with innovative solutions to real-world issues and problems.
This year’s NYBC was participated in by more than 1,000 students, with 25 representatives from Xavier School, including 5 delegates who attended the entirety of the program and competed in the case competitions. The keynote for this year’s NYBC was delivered by our country’s Vice-President Leni Robredo.
