HS Student Council Relief Effort: Bangon Marawi

The Xavier School HS Student Council is currently organizing BANGON MARAWI, a relief effort for the victims of the armed conflict in Marawi City.

The firefight between Military forces, and ISIS-inspired Maute fighters displaced roughly 40,000 families and has left almost 200 individuals dead. While the conflict continues, so does the suffering of the families who got robbed of their family members, houses, and livelihood. They still need our help. As ONE XAVIER, let us be the light to our brothers and sisters in these dark days when they truly need it the most. It is times like these wherein our assistance can go a long way and inspire many.

Thus, we humbly request for any of the listed items to be donated. Monetary donations can be directed to the Accounting Office in Gate 2 on June 13 – June 16, 2017. Donations in kind will be accepted in Room J106 on June 17, 2017 (Saturday), from 8AM-4PM.

Now is the time to make a stand against these acts of terror. As we celebrate the anniversary of our Independence Day today, we wish that our fellow Filipinos in Marawi City may also experience the freedom we cherish, and that their fighting and suffering may come to an end.
